 So as a Jamboree can continue moving forward, you have to take into account various factors. For this reason, we need your help to make it possible and to make Scouts MSC’s first national jamboree, a memorable one.

Logistics, infrastructure and maintenance

Nº of volunteers: 15

  • For how long?From the 22nd – 30 July
  • What does it involve?
    • Maintaing the day-to-day infrastructures.
    • Inventory and control of the camps equipment.
    • Carry out the necessary shopping to provide for the camp.
  • Any specific requirements? No

Set up and/or removal of the camp

Nº of volunteers: 50

  • For how long?
    • From the 17th – 21st July – 30 volunteers
    • From the 30th July- 1st August – 20 volunteers
  • What does it involve?
    • Mount barracks/ marquees, gazebos, communal areas
    • Pre-buildings and communal areas.
    • Set-up volunteers area
    • Set-up the Faith Activities area

Core team

Nº of volunteers: 3

  • For how long? From the 22nd – 30 July
  • What does it involve?
    • Carry out the planning and general programming of Jamscout
  • Any specific requirements?No

Age specific activities

Nº of volunteers: 15

  • For how long?From the 22nd – 30 July
  • What does it involve?
    • Giving support to each age group during the daily activities, administer necessary material or helping with anything they may need to carry out the activity.
  • Any specific requirements? No

Cleaning

Nº of volunteers: 15

  • For how long?From the 22nd – 30 July
  • What does it involve?
    • Cleaning and maintenance of the toilets and bathrooms 2 times a
    • Cleaning and maintenance of communal areas
    • Collection of rubbish 2 times a day.

Drivers

Nº of volunteers: 5

  • For how long?From the 22nd – 30 July
  • What does it involve?
    • Collection and transportation of guests from arrival/departure points
    • Transportation to health centres if needed
    • Transportation outside of the campsite
    • Transportation to/from shops
  • Any specific requirements?
    • Driving licence. There will be rented vans/cars.

Secretary

Nº of volunteers: 8

  • For how long?
    • From the 17nd – 21st July – 3 volunteers
    • From the 22nd – 30th July – 5 volunteers
  • What does it involve?
    • Organise the secretary’s area/room
    • Organise the equipment that will be in the secretary’s área/room
    • Support the secretary’s tasks: reception, photocopies, transcriptions, document’s layout….
  • Any specific requirements?
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of printing and photocopying.

Cooking and food provision

Nº of volunteers: 15 volunteers

  • For how long?
    • From the 22nd – 30th July – 15 volunteers
  • What does it involve?
    • Prepare the breakfast if finally we don’t subcontract catering
    • Serve the lunches and dinners
    • Control meal time schedules
    • Serve the midday and afternoon snacks
  • Any specific requirements?
    • Certificate in handling food.

Healthcare

Nº of volunteers: 6 volunteers

  • For how long?
    • From the 22nd – 30th July – 2 full time doctors or several part time; 4 full-time nurses or of different healthcare specialities.
  • What does it involve?
    • Attend to any medical problems that occur.
    • Maintain the field hospital clean and in perfect condition.
  • Any specific requirements?
    • Medical title, nurse or other healthcare speciality.

Sound technician

Nº of volunteers: 2 volunteers

  • For how long?
    • From the 22nd – 30th July
  • What does it involve?
    • Supporting the technicians from the contracted company
    • Use of sound equipment when necessary
  • Any specific requirements?
    • Higher education in Image and Sound or equivalent and/or professional experience.

Communication

Nº of volunteers: 10, 5 Communicators and 5 Photographers

  • For how long?
    • From the 22nd – 30th July
  • What does it involve?
    • Organisation of external communication during the event:RRSS, Web, live emissions etc.
    • Elaboration of daily informative bulletins.
    • Carrying out image and audiovisual material
  • Any specific requirements?
    • Degree in Audiovisual Communication, Journalism or similar; photographers with experiance and have Access to their own camera.

Faith activities

Nº de volunteers: 25 volunteers

  • For how long?
    • From 22nd – 30th July
  • What does it involve?
    • Organise daily Eucharist service
    • Organise joint Eucharist
    • Welcome and accompany the sections.
  • Any specific training?
    • Priest and/or Faith coordinator.

Services

  • For how long?
    • From the 22th – 30th July
  • What does it involve?
    • Support the services programmed for every section
    • Develop service acts to carry out during the event.

Protocol

  • For how long?
    • From the 22nd – 30th July
  • What does it involve?
    • Reception and welcoming of special guests
    • Follow up of visits from arrival till departure.

    • Availability to carry out different functions that could occur daily.
