Competition Jamscout Festival

Do you have the voice of a prodigy? Can you play a musical instrument? The secrets of dancing aren’t unknown to you? Do you have a hidden talent that no one else has?


If you have answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, we await you at the “Jamscout Festival: MSC brimming with talent” .

We want to discover the biggest artists from within our movement and to give you the ideal place to show off your skills.

You can participate in the competition either individually or as a group, with your friends or with your unit. Only 18 finalists will have the privilege to participate in the closing ceremony of Jamscout!

You have 3 choices to choose from, in order to show us what you’ve got:

  • Singing and musical instruments:play/sing something unique or known, a capella or with musical backing, however you choose. It should last between 3-5 minutes. It can be individual or in a group (maximum of 6 if singing or 10 if in a musical group) .
  • Dance:A group or individual choreography (max 6 people), with the song or mashup of your choice lasting between 2-5 minutes.
  • Variety act:acrobatics, magic, juggling, or any other type of skill that you have, that will leave us with mouths wide. Groups can be a maximum of 6 people and the performance should last between 2-4 minutes.

Who can take part?

Everyone! Any age! There are 2 prize categories:

  • Junior: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts
  • General: Explorers, Network and Leaders
How do I take part?
  1. Record a video lasting around 90 seconds, showing off your skills.
  2. Send it to along with the following information:
    1. Name/s and Surname/s of the participant/s
    2. Scout Group and National Association
    3. Category and type of act you would like to show off.

Send it before the 31st May!

The judging panel will be made up of 2 members of the Jamscout core team and 4 volunteers, who will decide which of the candidates will perform in the grand final. The results will be released on the 15th June on the website. The overall winners will be decided by popular vote at Jamscout.

If you want to be part of the judging panel, send an email to before the 15th May, with the following information:

  • Name and Surname
  • Scout Group and National Association
  • Certification or accredited knowledge of singing, dance or musical instruments (if you have some).

It isn’t necessary to be participating in Jamscout to be part of the judging panel!
